Please be kind, especially if someone knows less than you. With such an expansive subject with potentially thousands of plants per region, there’s a large learning curve. Don’t scare someone away from learning or growing by being a jerk, even if you’re correct.
Of course, we must always be conscientious of all life no matter how small or insignificant since often times we depend on those beings, and even if we don’t others do.
So with that in mind, please be considerate of managing invasive species in ethical ways (digging up a plant vs spraying it) and keep the focus on supporting natives and non-invasive naturalized plants.
Posts about indigenous and folk-medicine use of plants native to other regions of the world are allowed but should always be respectful of the knowledge traditions which the information has come from. While published and peer-reviewed research is more plentiful now and is welcome, often times there is no research on specific plants, so traditional knowledge is of course considered just as worthy for discussion.
